With only weeks left until the inaugural Mach 1 Stages rally at Machrihanish Airbase in Kintyre, its on 5th and 6th July – potential entrants had better be quick off the mark. Spaces are filling up fast.

The Blue Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship event promises to be an action-packed weekend of motoring, with 101 entries already confirmed.

The rally saw the first 69 spots fill up in only three hours of entries opening and, incredibly, already the event boasts seven out of the top 10 competitors in SRC [Scottish Rally Championship] as confirmed entries.

‘Entry numbers are already at record levels and momentum is really building now. The location is fantastic, and we’re expecting to attract huge crowds – competitors and spectators alike.’

Scrutineering takes places on the 5th July, with the first car due on course at the historic airbase at 12 noon. Other details released include:

With safety a top priority, the organisers are also keen to enlist the help of rally enthusiasts to act as marshals and to assist with the set up of the event from the Tuesday until the Friday.
